Intellectual Excellence

What is Intellectual Excellence?

One who possesses intellectual excellence is commonly referred to as a genius.   We define genius as a person with the characteristic of exceptional capacity of intellect, especially as shown in creative and original work.

Using this definition, how would a genius be measured.  Tony Buzan in his book Buzan's Book of Genius and how to Unleash Your Own" suggestions the following measurement criteria:

Measurement Criteria

Why was this Considered as a Criteria for Selecting

1.  Dominance in field

Were they recognized leaders in a field?  Did they make a difference?

2.  Life span in years
